About Me
I have spent over 20 years working with children in education settings, including 17 years as a qualified teacher. I hold a degree in Psychology and have always been passionate about understanding human minds and behaviours. More recently I spent 5 years studying counselling to gain my diploma in therapeutic counselling. This enables me to combine my passions of supporting people in their life journey, using integrative approaches that draw on many theories. I have experience in both adult and children and young persons counselling, and have been privileged enough to work for some fantastic local and national counselling organisations including Don’t Lose Hope and Place2Be. I have been a member of the BACP for a number of years and am proud to work to their high professional standards.
Personally, I have sought counselling at various points in my life; for differing reasons. Those experiences have helped guide and shape my self awareness and understanding. I consider this to be such a valuable tool to help a person ride the ups and downs of life; and one I endeavour to support my clients in finding.
